You can use pledge foaming spray or a high quality wax without a cleaner(Carnuaba Wax) in it. Windex or wax with cleaner can remove patina or etch the glass.

Do not use suction cups. They will break down over time. Use a nail in the wood or high quality command hook with the appropriate weight.
